People sometimes say my work reminds them of Rembrandt. I take that as a compliment — but it is not what I am going for.
Rembrandt painted light as if it was revealing something true about a person. That is exactly what I do with a camera. The difference is that I am not painting 17th-century nobility. I am working with founders, creative directors and brands who are alive, ambitious, and building something right now — and I want their images to feel that way too. Cinematic, present, unmistakably real.
After graduating from the Fotoacademie Amsterdam and spending over 14 years behind the lens, I have developed a deep expertise in one thing: making the invisible visible. The confidence you project in a meeting, the energy you bring to a room, the vision that drives everything you do — I translate all of that into images. Not by staging it. By creating the conditions where it comes out on its own.
My work has been published in Yoga Magazine and Fabulous Mama Magazine, and I have collaborated with fashion brands including Norah, Yest and Claudia Sträter. I work in Amsterdam, in Ibiza, and wherever the right light and the right client take me.
I work with a small number of clients at a time. Not because I have to — because I choose to. Every project deserves full attention. When you work with me, you are not a brief. You are a story I want to tell well.

Mensen zeggen soms dat mijn werk hen aan Rembrandt doet denken. Ik zie dat als een compliment — maar het is niet waar ik op aanstur. Rembrandt schilderde licht alsof het iets waars over een persoon onthulde. Precies dat doe ik met een camera.
Het verschil is dat ik niet werk met 17e-eeuwse adel, maar met ondernemers, creative directors en merken die nu bouwen — en hun beelden moeten dat ook uitstralen. Cinematisch, aanwezig, onmiskenbaar echt.
Na mijn opleiding aan de Fotoacademie Amsterdam en meer dan 14 jaar ervaring heb ik één expertise ontwikkeld: het onzichtbare zichtbaar maken. Jouw zelfvertrouwen, jouw energie, jouw visie — ik vertaal dat naar beelden. Niet door het te regisseren. Door de omstandigheden te creëren waarin het vanzelf naar boven komt.
Ik werk met een klein aantal klanten tegelijk — niet omdat ik moet, maar omdat ik dat kies. Elk project verdient volledige aandacht. Als je met mij werkt, ben je geen briefing. Je bent een verhaal dat ik goed wil vertellen.
